SIMTEC, due to its continuous expansion of its footprint in Electronics & Systems industry, is hiring an Application Engineer to be based on SIMTEC’s Athens or Thessaloniki office.
Job summary
Electronics Simulation Engineer, will provide pre and after sales technical support on Ansys Electronics & Systems software, such as Ansys MAXWELL, HFSS, SIWAVE, MEDINI and other, to SIMTEC customers: the leading and most innovative companies of the region, located in Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia.
Responsibilities
As a Simulation Engineer you will:
- Offer technical support to Ansys users.
- Be responsible for technical tasks related to pre-sales opportunities, such as customer meetings with R&D engineers and managers, presentations and demos.
- Perform simulation test cases.
- Support evaluation of the software.
- Train customers on Ansys HFSS, SIWAVE, MAXWELL, MEDINI, and other.
- Present ANSYS broad portfolio and capabilities during workshops and conferences.
- Analyse customer technical needs and streamline simulation workflows.
- Work closely with sales department.
- Travel in Greece and abroad.
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical & Computer Engineering or Physics or similar degree.
- Excellent command of Greek and English.
- Understanding of below applications:
- Electromechanical: Cables, Electric Machines, Transformers, Sensors.
- High Frequency: PCBs, RF, Antennas, Filters.
- System-level and optimization simulations, Reduced Order Models.
- At least 1 year of working experience on electronics & electromagnetics simulation preferably with the Ansys tools.
- Experience in Analog or Digital IC design workflows and tools (e.g. Synopsys) will be considered a plus.
- Military obligations completed.
